I was born in Sardinia, a land of sea and wind, where nature itself teaches resilience and reveals the beauty of creation. From that land, I carry within me the light of the sea and the spirit of those who never give up, even when the currents change direction.

In the fighting fish I have found my own nature reflected, an apparent calm that conceals an indomitable strength. They are freshwater creatures, delicate and powerful at the same time. In their fins that open like flames, in their proud and measured movements, I see the symbol of my homeland, that quiet grace which fights without making noise.

Painting them is, for me, like diving into a mirror. Every line, every reflection tells the story of those who face life with determination, transforming struggle into elegance and aggression into harmony. In their gaze I recognize my own artistic journey: perseverance, courage and the will to succeed while remaining faithful to one’s true essence.

Each Betta that comes to life on the canvas is a small warrior of colored light, a tribute to all who, like them, continue to swim against the current with quiet determination.
